I studied for six long years in high school and during that time I saw how my parents worked hard just to send me and my siblings to school. I know for a fact that it is hard for our parents to see that their children are deprived of education. With this situation that we are in I told to myself that poverty will never be a hindrance in my studies and I should do everything to get a degree.
With all the trials life is throwing us, we never lose hope that one day this will pass and it was when we heard about SACDECO.
I remember when mother came to our school and called us to the canteen. Mother gave me a piece of paper and asked for my signature. I scanned the paper and that’s when I realized that it is a membership form from SACDECO.
Our parents enrolled us in their YTM program where in you can save any amount of money. We started saving a small amount from our allowance in school.
We never regret opening an account in SACDECO because from then on SACDECO have helped us in so many ways, from learning to save, to granting my parents’ loans, to receiving gifts during Christmas and to their other programs and services that we members are enjoying.
Because of my constant saving to SACDECO, I was given a Salimetmet Award from the coop during our graduation. Because I really want to have college degree I applied to their scholarship program.
I was overwhelmed when my mother told me that my application was approved and it ignited my desire to finish my studies. Now that I am one step closer to my dreams, I am proud, honored and wouldn’t be ashamed to say that I am JIRAH BOY COLLADO the first scholar of SACDECO Bangar.
I will always be grateful to SACDECO that through this scholarship, they opened a door not just for me, but also for my family.
Mrs. Ruth D. Espiritu, a businesswoman engaged in gravel and sand and owner of hog raising business, resident of Brgy. Cayanga, Bugallon, Pangasinan was blessed with four (4) children namely Abigail; Dilmer; Nathalie and Zyrail Ruth Espiritu and a loving husband, Mr. Romer Espiritu, also a member in our branch.
As a businesswoman and hog raiser, she witnessed the ups and downs of business. Not all the time her business is gaining profit and because of that, she needs an additional capital for the purchase of feeds and other materials for her hog raising business, and when she learned about SACDECO from her sister Jocelyn Versoza, who is also a member in our coop, she attended the Pre-Membership Seminar (PMES) and became a member.
After which, she applied a loan for her hog raising. She used her net proceeds in buying feeds and also for their household needs. She was grateful that she became a member of our cooperative not only because she can avail loans but also because of the benefits that she enjoys and the low interest of loan.
She also added that she is a proud member of our cooperative because it served as a great assistance whenever she needs help.
My love for animals brought me to where I am now. On my farm, I keep different animals.Because of my love for animals, I decided to enter into hog raising.
Every business needs capital, and at that time I don't have enough money to start my hog raising. I went to ask some friends if they know someone whom I can borrow money and someone mentioned about SACDECO.
Without a doubt, I went to their office to ask if they can help me with my dilemma. I attended their Pre-Membership Seminar and there I learned more about the services offered by this cooperative. With the pieces of information I heard during the seminar, I applied for membership.
I became a member in an instant. I applied for a loan and was granted. I used the net proceeds of my loan to expand the pigpen, buy feeds and other materials I needed for my business.
My business became successful and sustainable. Now I am well known in our town. I started from a few pigs and now I have less than a hundred and hoping to add more.
Through my loan, I was able to start a business and make it grow. Now I am saving my profits in SACDECO and considering it as another investment. SACDECO really helped me and I am grateful to SACDECO for the trust they gave me when I applied for a loan.
